  1. Agree which costs are shared

    Decide how to divide the chalet, food, fuel and tolls. If people stay for different dates, agree their accommodation shares.

  2. Add bookings as they are paid

    Record the chalet under whoever paid and enter the agreed shares.

  3. Add expenses during the trip

    Include shared shopping and meals. Select only the people who took part in each expense.

Passes, hire and people who do not ski

A season pass is normally a personal purchase. If one person buys passes or hires equipment for others, record that cost only against those people. Friends who do not ski can share the accommodation and transport without paying for lift access.

When a shared pot is enough

If everyone contributes a fixed amount and all shared spending comes from that pot, a note of the total and any leftover money may suffice. A room helps when people pay with their own cards.
